EDUCATION

The society believes that the most important aspects of its work is educating people of all ages about animals. In particular we believe  the key to animal welfare rests with getting people to think about it from a very young age.

We visit schools, Scout and Girl Guidegroups, Youth Clubs etc. with a PowerPoint slide show that encourages young people to think and act responsibly in all their dealings with animals. If you are a teacher or youth group leader and would like more information on this please email us at  cspca@eircom.net. The slideshow is not "preachy" and is designed to make young people think for themselves and take responsibility for their actions. We get many letters of appreciation from schools and groups .

We accept over thirty students a year for work experience and social projects and many of them return and become regular volunteers at the home. We regularly welcome students from the Animal Care Course in St. John's_College .

We frequently have social education students and members of other animal welfare groups send in long questionnaires. These can be time consuming to answer, especially when several arrive together. Please find as many answers as you can on this website and its links and then, if there is anything extra you would like to ask, email  cspca@eircom.net . Students please click here for a sample questionnaire - QUESTIONS
